At the beginning of the program we give them a folder that has a picture of a lighthouse on it and a prayer that comments on the fact that they may be lost, or not know where they are going, but that they will trust in God to guide them and help them face their perils. Just like the sailors trusted the light houses to guide them. At the end of the 9 week program we pin a light house on them and tell them to go forth and be a light to others.
