My grandson is autistic, so I am pleased to wear the pin and tell people about him when they ask about it. I do wish, though, that you had epilepsy awareness pins. My daughter has epilepsy, and it seems as though people aren't aware of the seriousness of that illness.

Autism Puzzle Ribbon Lapel Pin5LarryFebruary 26, 2007A co-worker has a son that has Autism. He organized a team to participate in walks to raise funds to fight Autism. We gave everyone who was on a team a pin, and everyone who was a financial sponsor. In my daily travels I kept a small stash of Autism pins in my pocket, and as I ran across people affected by Autism, I gave them a free pin. One girl who works at Cracker-Barrel Restaurant told me that one of her son's has Autism. She was upset because someone had stolen the Autism magnet off her car. I gave her a Autism pin, and it made her smile from ear-to-ear. She has worn it to work everyday since.
